FAQ: Sync System

WARNING: BEFORE REINSTALLING YOUR OPERATING SYSTEM OR CHANGING DEVICE PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU BACK UP YOUR STKP DOCUMENTS FOLDER. YOU RISK WAITING A LONG WHILE GETTING YOUR DATA BACK IF YOU DON'T DO THIS.

From time to time, the sync system maybe disabled for a short period of time so that updates/improvements can be made. During this period, entries in your logbook may go missing and other small discrepancies may appear. Please do not worry as eventually the sync system will come back online once the necessary work has been carried out and all your in-app data should return back to normal. 

Please be advised that you should back up your STKP documents folder often to avoid having issues with the sync engine when doing major Windows updates, switching to a new computer or when doing Windows reinstalls. Using a cloud service (other than OneDrive) to back this folder up is advisable to avoid experiencing issues when the sync engine is down.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused when bringing the sync servers down. If you believe the sync system to be down, please check the STKP Discord at https://discord.com/invite/xr6wNq5. Any information will be in the announcements/notices channel. If you happen to have any other concerns, please ask in the STKP Discord Support channel.

If your data goes missing for any reason, please join our discord and make a post in the supprt forum and we can force a sync from the server so your data can be returned (must have an account)
